When visitors are in Saudi Arabia for Umrah, they can enjoy one or all of the several popular sightseeing spots that they usually visit in addition to the main pilgrimage activities. Here are some of them:
Al-Masjid an-Nabawi: The second-holiest mosque in Islam and the burial place of Prophet Muhammad.
Mount Uhud: The site of the Battle of Uhud, one of the most significant battles in Islamic history.
Quba Mosque: The first mosque built in Islam and one of the oldest mosques in the world.
Al-Baqi Cemetery: The burial site of many companions of Prophet Muhammad, as well as several of his family members.
Al-Jannatul Baqi: A large cemetery in Medina that contains the graves of several prominent Islamic figures.
Masjid Al-Qiblatain: A mosque where the direction of prayer (qibla) was changed from Jerusalem to Mecca during the time of Prophet Muhammad.
Masjid Al-Qubaib: A mosque that dates back to the time of Prophet Muhammad and is believed to have been built by him.
Al-Hudaibiyah Mosque: A mosque that marks the site of the Treaty of Hudaibiyah, a significant event in Islamic history.
Masjid Al-Fath: A mosque that marks the site where Prophet Muhammad and his companions prayed after the victory of Mecca.
Jabal al-Noor: A mountain that contains the cave of Hira, where Prophet Muhammad received his first revelation.
